E-MU Mo' Phatt - Exploring the Presets - Part 3 - MVM #51

Welcome to part #3 of this Exploring the Presets video section. What's up everybody? Today we're going to be checking out some of the stock preset sounds that come in the E-MU Mo' Phatt sound module. This is a 64 voice, multitimbral sound module that came out in 2001. We're going to be sequencing it from the Akai MPC1000.

What's up everyone, Welcome to Midiverse - TV. In this episode we're going to be talking about the Yamaha YPT-220. We found the entry level keyboard from Yamaha at a local thrift store for $2.99. The keys were all smashed and mashed up, so we decided to turn this into a little MIDI module instead. We crudely built this box around the PCB of the Yamaha using some scrap pieces of wood, and here it is. 

In this video we'll scroll through the reverb settings, some of the patches, and a handful of the drum grooves that are built in as well.

HexInverter Postman EG - DIY Build and Demo - Midiverse - TV

What's up everyone, Welcome to Midiverse - TV. Today we're going to be building a Postman EG from HexInverter. This DIY eurorack module is a four channel envelope generator, with potentiometers for attack and release for each of the four channels. The sustain amount is set by the gate length, and there's also individual LEDs for each channel so you can get a visual idea of what's happening with each envelope.

Moog Slim Phatty + dbx 120XP Subharmonic Synthesizer - Midiverse - TV

What's up everyone, Welcome to Midiverse - TV. Today we've got the Moog Slim Phatty running through the dbx 120XP, let's have a listen..

When the light on the dbx is green that means it's in bypass and we're just hearing the Moog by itself. When the light is red bypass is turned off and we hear the effect as well as the original signal.
